The Lahoma Club at Oklahoma State University had its beginnings on the afternoon of January 18, 1915, when a group of faculty wives met to discuss “what can be done to promote sociability between university women and students.” The organization has developed to promote social activities, projects and programs which have greatly enriched the scope and quality of life at Oklahoma State University. Lahoma’s social activities and programs focus on providing scholarships to students and enriching the social activities for members. The major focus of the club is sponsorship of five or more scholarships each year. The Constitution states that, “The purpose of the organization shall be to foster good fellowship between university women and students, and to assist in promoting the general interest of Oklahoma State University.” For information about how to apply for a scholarship visit the Lahoma Club Scholarship website. Lahoma Club awards 7 scholarships in February 2011
